It appears Playboy is attempting to appeal to Generation Y (WHY?!) with the cover of their first non-nude magazine.
The cover, released on Thursday, shows a woman behind a Snapchat caption that reads “heyyy ;)”.
The woman on the cover is Instagram star Sarah McDaniel, who has gained notoriety in the modeling world for having different coloured eyes.
McDaniel won’t be the only woman featured in the first non-nude edition of the 63-year-old men’s magazine, with actress Dree Hemingway being featured as the featured “Playmate”. Hemingway is the daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway.
The magazine will go on sale next Friday.
Playboy officials decided to move away from pictures of nude women in late 2015. Pamela Anderson was featured in the final nude edition of the magazine, that got its start 1953 when it featured a nude Marilyn Monroe.
Circulation of the magazine has dropped from 5.6 million in 1975 to just 800,000.
